- Jamie M. Lee was born in 1977 in Korea and stayed in California from high school to university. In 2001, she majored Bachelor of Art in Painting & Printmaking at the University of California, Santa Cruz, USA, and achieved a Master of Fine Art in Painting at Claremont Graduate University, California, the USA in 2005. After graduating from graduate school, she became the Residency Artist in Cooper Union Residency Program, New York, USA. Moreover, the same year, she prevailed the First Place Prize in Phoenix Gallery, Chelsea, New York. Subsequently, she moved to New York in 2006 to host her first solo exhibition and commenced her profession as a full-time artist. In 2014, she worked in Korea with the motivation of hosting a solo exhibition with the Artist Residency at Young Eun Museum of Contemporary Art. In 2018, she received a Doctoral Degree from the Graduate School of Fine Art, Hongik University. She hosted and presented several exhibitions at galleries in Korea, including the Young Eun Museum of Contemporary Art, Art Center White Block, Artbn Contemporary Art & Project, and Andngallery. On the other hand, she had invited to hold solo exhibitions in La Artcore Brewery Annex Gallery, Los Angeles, California, Peggy Phelps Gallery at Claremont Graduate University, Claremont, California, and Phoenix Gallery, New York. Furthermore, she was introduced through group exhibitions and art fairs at Ying Gallery, Beijing, China, Kwanhoon Art Fair, Keumsan Gallery in Seoul, PS122 Gallery, Staten Island Museum, Gallery Maum, Arario Gallery in New York, etc.
